Charleston Waterkeeper was founded in 2009 to protect and restore Charleston's waterways for our community and future generations. This is done through an effective mix of boots-on-the-water stewardship and data-driven advocacy designed to protect your right to clean water for fishing and swimming.

All seven species of sea turtles are listed as threatened or endangered due to the growing issues surrounding coastal development and ocean conservation. The SC Aquarium Sea Turtle Care Center aids sick and injured sea turtles in partnership with the SC Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR).

The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves, and beaches through a powerful activist network. Our beaches and waterways are our playground and where we feel most at home.
