Some of the best spots resonate with so many people that they are seen as cliche. But only on rare occasion what everybody says is actually the truth. The Grand Canyon is of those places that changes your perspective on the world and it's beauty is incomparable to anything else you have ever seen.

What's the must do and see here?

One of the most amazing parts of the Grand Canyon is definitely Horseshoe Bend. Watching the sunset at this phenomenal spot is definitely a must do.

What makes this a special place to connect with nature?

As one of the 7 wonders of the world, this place is extremely special to me because it truly shows how incredible and amazing the world really is. There is so much beauty out there, and at the Grand Canyon especially there is a lot of this to experience.

Favorite memory here?

My favorite memory of the Grand Canyon was definitely when I was sitting with a few of my friends at a viewpoint by the North Rim campground and watching as the sun set over the canyon.

What superlative would you give The Grand Canyon?

Most phenomenal place ever.

Tell us about yourself!

I love to travel and I love adventure. However, as a full time college student, I spend most of my weekdays studying. But, I purposefully get all my studying done Monday-Thursday so that I leave my weekends open for traveling. This year I got a national parks pass which has made me determined to travel to as many national parks as possible. I am extremely passionate about the environment and the planet as a whole and try to speak out against the destruction facing the world. There is still so much out there left to explore so I look forward to where the future will take me.

Hiking into the Canyon is nothing short of an adventure. Make sure you've got plenty of water and be prepared for some intense mileage the further down you go. You can make the journey to the Colorado River and back again in a day (albeit a 10 hour day) or prepare to hike down at the bottom. Either way you won't be disappointed with the views.

Things to say about the Grand Canyon: it's really big and the Colorado River formed it by brute force over millions of years. All said and done the Grand Canyon is along the likes of Yosemite and Yellowstone. No one can truly capture it's beauty in words or on film. You gotta see it for yourself.
