The North Chick (short for Chickamauga) Hole is a great place to splash around and escape the heat that hits the Chattanooga area during the summer months and is a great fall and winter escape in the heart of south eastern Tennesee.

What's the must do and see here?

You can't skip jumping off the rocks into the blue holes in the summer time!

What makes this a special place to connect with nature?

This place is an easy 25 minute drive from my house that winds through the mountains of Chattanooga. Once you arrive you feel like you're deep in the wilderness as you follow the creek along the trail. I love taking my friends here to enjoy nature and remove ourselves from the hustle and bustle of life. Each season is very special here.

Favorite memory here?

My favorite memory is when some friends and I went camping at the Stevenson Branch campsite where we were pleasantly surprised to find a waterfall right by our tent.

What superlative would you give North Chick Blue Hole?

NORTH CHICK BLUE HOLE OVERVIEW

North Blue Chick hole is a popular swimming hole among Chattanooga locals as it sits in the near by town of Soddy Daisy. The boulder lined stream creates plenty of natural deep swimming pools to enjoy the pristine waters that form the Chickamauga Creek Gorge.

The hike up the creek to North Blue Chick Hole shouldn't take you more than 40 minutes if you're looking to get up to the fourth or fifth pool. Shorter hikes can get you splashing around in as little as 10 minutes. Either way both you won't be disappointed by all of the Tennessee flora and fauna to be explored.
